Day 1 - Zadar
Check-in at Zadar port at 5 p.m. Enjoy a guided tour starting at 5:30 p.m. The city is today the center of the region and was the metropolis of the Dalmatia region for many centuries. The rich cultural heritage is visible at every turn. Visit the Roman forum dating to the 1st century AD and the church of St. Donatus dating to the 9th century AD, the most famous Medieval basilica and the city’s symbol. The imposing and mighty city walls are from the 16th century AD. Great restaurants line part of the waterfront and the center of town. Famous, contemporary creations are the Zadar Sea Organ, one of a kind in the world, and the “Greeting to the Sun” light installation. Overnight in Zadar.
Day 2 - Zadar - Molat or Olib
Early departure towards Molat or Olib (depending on availability in the small harbors), islands in the northern part of the Zadar archipelago. Think pure peace and serenity. Tonight it’s the Captain’s dinner party. Overnight in the harbor. (B, L, CD)
Day 3 - Molat or Olib - Ilovik - Lošinj
After breakfast and a morning swim, cruise towards Ilovik. It may have only a few hundred inhabitants but Ilovik has lovely bays and a crystal-clear sea. We make a short stop before leaving for Lošinj known as “sunshine island” and its abundance of pines, wildflowers, and herbs. Lošinj is one of the most popular islands on the northern Adriatic waters, known for its hidden coves and cool Mediterranean vibe. Upon arrival, stroll along the seafront or walk up to the Lošinj Aromatic Garden full of indigenous herbs and plants. The small town of Veli Lošinj is easy to reach if you want to explore on foot. Overnight in Mali Lošinj. (B, L)
Day 4 - Lošinj - Cres
Departure towards Cres island after a morning swim. This long, narrow-shaped, unspoiled island is abundant with olive groves, vineyards, oak forests, beech, and some remarkable stone walls. Once, Cres and Mali Lošinj were one island before the Romans dug a narrow channel to separate them. Spend the night in the port of Cres, a typical medieval town. (B, L)
